John Giambalvo joined Level 3 Communications in 2008 as a sales director in New York City, managing a team of sales executives responsible for $40M of annual revenue focusing on Fortune 500 companies in the financial and legal verticals. He was promoted in 2015 to general manager of the New Jersey market and is responsible for revenue growth via new logo sales, expansion of Level 3’s current market penetration, execution of sales strategy and ensuring customer satisfaction. His main focus in New Jersey is to assess Level 3’s metro/regional/long-haul network assets and evaluate the competitive landscape, extend to capital efficiency, profitability and market EBITDA improvements.
John is a results-driven leader who has more than 25 years of sales management experience in both Enterprise and Wholesale markets. Prior to Level 3, he held various sales director positions at XO, Verizon and Sprint, managing the NYC, Long Island and New Jersey territories.
